I have decided to institute a Silly Hats Only policy in the workplace. Loans/Donations of silly hats will be graciously accepted. Also, I've decided to start posting anything I want about other peoples' silly hats.
It's kinda sorta almost a Christmas Fez. This hat was hidden behind my bed for about a year, until the last time I moved. I suspect the guilty party has four legs.
Totally Stylin...in 1956. Hat donated by the girlfriend's father. Photo taken months ago. Post posted now. Apparently Davy Crockett really did wear one of these thingsas a joke because of how awesome it is. See for yourself:
Princess, are we laughing with you, or laughing at you? The answer is at you. If you hurry, This hat can be yours. Bid on ebay. Only a bit more than four days left to bid, and the price is only up to $29,545.88. Don't miss out!
As a semi-followup to late March's Muammartacular! here's a six-color desert pattern boonie hat. I think this is Desert Storm issue. Also, it's way too small on me and it hurts to wear.
There are a lot of things being said about the current leader (for now) of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi. Rather than jump on the bandwagon just to be popular, I'm choosing to point out one of the Gaddafi's shining strengths, his excellent fashion sense:
This baseball cap is silver pleather, bedazzled, and has sequins. Perfect baseball season, right around the corner. The label says it's by Kids Import (made in China). Your mother dresses you funny. It turns out that the Bedazzler website is as awful as the Bedazzler itself.
The second overseas donation from Rosa. The Montera Picona is the traditional Asturian hat, made of dark wool and worn by men. It features a pointed tip that was once used to cover the face against the cold, though it is now largely ornamental.
From the side you can better see the blue and yellow ornamentation. Blue and yellow are the colors of the Asturian flag and coat of arms.
